Volleyball Recap: Triopia/Virginia Takes a Loss

Triopia/Virginia was the 2-0 winner over Barry Western when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Trojans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats on Thursday.

Triopia/Virginia was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Barry Western work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-18.

Mylee Tracy paced Triopia/Virginia's offense, picking up six kills. Tracy got some help from Lucie Dion and her nine assists. Jaden Stambaugh controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Triopia/Virginia's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Barry Western, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Triopia/Virginia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Dunlap on the 13th. As for Barry Western, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Camp Point Central on the 15th.
