Softball Recap: Campbell Comes Up Short

Bland hit Campbell with a six-run first inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Indians lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in March of 2025, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 27-1 score last time.

Campbell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elizabeth Richardson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Campbell's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Bland, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Coincidentally, Campbell and Bland will both be playing Commerce the next time they take the field. The Tigers will host the Tigers at 11:20 a.m. on Friday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 12:40 p.m.
