Softball Recap: Fostoria Takes a Loss

Fostoria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 23-2 to the Ross Little Giants. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Redmen of the 13-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Emalie Evans was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that she has hit this season.

Fostoria's record is now 2-10. As for Ross, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fostoria will take on Arcadia at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Ross, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Napoleon at 5:00 p.m.
