Recap: Brentwood Academy Eagles vs. Columbia Central Lions
On Wednesday, Brentwood Academy suffered a tough 52-31 loss at the hands of Columbia Central. While losing is never fun, Brentwood Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Columbia Central is ranked 33rd).
It was another big night for Saviya Morgan, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 steals for Columbia Central. Morgan is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Anaya Mulholland, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Brentwood Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Columbia Central, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-1.
Brentwood Academy is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Cookeville at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. Hopefully Cookeville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Monday. Columbia Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ezell-Harding Christian at 3:00 p.m. on December 21st. Ezell-Harding Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
