Softball Recap: Rochester Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Rochester's victory against Twin Lakes wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Zebras skirted past the Indians 7-5. The win was familiar territory for the Zebras, who have now won four contests in a row.

Bria Rensberger made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over 4.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Aubrey Wilson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Gabby Medina, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one double.

Rochester's record is now 8-3. As for Twin Lakes, they dropped their record down to 3-8 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Rochester will play host again on Saturday to welcome Bremen, where first pitch is scheduled at 11:00 a.m. As for Twin Lakes, they will be playing at home against Lewis Cass at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Indians are facing the Kings at the right time seeing as the Kings are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
