Volleyball Recap: Winslow Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Winslow lost against Show Low two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bulldogs took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cougars 25-16 in the first set.

Winslow started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 26-24, 25-14, 25-16.

Their offense was headlined by Brielle Becenti and Kaitlyn Belone, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Keira Barton and her 27 assists. Belone was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Winslow has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-15-1 record this season. As for Show Low, their record now sits at 19-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Winslow will face off against rival Holbrook at 6:00 p.m. on the 8th. Meanwhile, Show Low is set to challenge their familiar foe Alchesay at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
