Basketball Recap: Vestavia Hills Takes a Loss

Vestavia Hills has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hewitt-Trussville Huskies. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 53-43.

Vestavia Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Hewitt-Trussville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-8.

Vestavia Hills will challenge Oak Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they will face off against Pell City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
