Softball Recap: Tates Creek Takes a Loss

Tates Creek was the 11-4 winner over Henry Clay when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Tates Creek fell 13-8 to Henry Clay on Thursday. The Commodores' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Alexis Bazzell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Kacey Cline, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Tates Creek's record is now 1-7. As for Henry Clay, they moved to 3-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tates Creek will venture away from home to challenge Lexington Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Henry Clay, they will head out to take on Franklin County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
