Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Copper Canyon). They blew past the Metro Tech Knights 70-36 on Wednesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 57-47 back in November of 2024.

Metro Tech lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Yahir Monroy, who went 6 of 15 en route to 15 points and eight boards. Monroy continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Erick Morales was another key player, going 5 for 10 on his way to 12 points and eight rebounds.

Copper Canyon has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.5 points per game. As for Metro Tech, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the loss, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Copper Canyon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-48 defeat against Washington on the 17th. As for Metro Tech, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 91-25 loss against McClintock on the 17th.
