Gonzaga Prep is 6-0 against Cheney since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Gonzaga Prep Bullpups are taking a road trip to take on the Cheney Blackhawks at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Gonzaga Prep has eight straight victories, Cheney has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Friday, Gonzaga Prep needed a bit of extra time to put away Central Valley. They had just enough and edged the Bears out 68-66. The win almost wasn't to be: the Bullpups were down 34-20 in the second quarter.

Meanwhile, Cheney lost to Lewis & Clark on the road by a 61-42 margin on Friday.

Gonzaga Prep pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Cheney, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

Everything came up roses for Gonzaga Prep against Cheney when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 62-35 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gonzaga Prep since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
