Football Recap: Vista Del Lago Piles Up the Points Against Adelanto

While Vista del Lago put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Adelanto. The Ravens simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Saints 35-0. The Ravens have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Saints, too.

EJ Mayhand-Souvenier had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 76 yards and two TDs.

Vista del Lago's defense stepped up as well, laying out Josiah Hayes. three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Isaac Gonzalez, Jordyn Edwards, and Evan Palacio, who each picked up one sack apiece. Vista del Lago got some further help from Gonzalez: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made five total tackles (2.0 for loss).

The victory was the third in a row for Vista del Lago, bringing their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points on average this season. As for Adelanto, they now have a losing record of 1-2.
