Volleyball Recap: Arizona College Prep Falls Short Against Ranked Campo Verde

Arizona College Prep faced Campo Verde in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Knights lost 3-0 to the Coyotes. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered since March 6th.

Arizona College Prep might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Campo Verde: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 28-26.

Logan Coking paced Arizona College Prep's offense, picking up 13 kills. Coking got some help from Kaden Wong and his 35 assists. Finally, Jordan Mei and Kaden Sanders kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked two attacks.

Arizona College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Campo Verde, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6.

Coincidentally, Arizona College Prep and Campo Verde will both be playing Mountain Pointe the next time they take the court. The Coyotes will head out to face the Pride at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Knights will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
