Baseball Game Preview: Harrisonburg Blue Streaks vs. Turner Ashby Knights

The Harrisonburg Blue Streaks will head out on the road to challenge the Turner Ashby Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harrisonburg hasn't scored more than two runs for seven games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Harrisonburg's offense. They came up short against East Rockingham on Tuesday, falling 14-0.

Meanwhile, Turner Ashby has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.83 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They fell just short of East Rockingham by a score of 11-10.

Sammy Moats led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-6 with four RBI and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Knicely, who went 3-for-6 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Harrisonburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Turner Ashby, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-3.

Harrisonburg suffered a grim 19-0 defeat to Turner Ashby in their previous matchup on April 8th. Can the Blue Streaks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
