Basketball Recap: Sabine Pass Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Sabine Pass extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Daiven Miller. The Sabine Pass Sharks walked away with a 49-41 victory over the Big Sandy Wildcats on Saturday thanks in part to Miller, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten steals. He is becoming a predictor of Sabine Pass' success: when he posts at least three steals the team is 3-1 (and 9-11 when he doesn't).

The team also got some help courtesy of Devin Roberts, who posted nine points and four steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game.

Sabine Pass has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Big Sandy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, Sabine Pass and Big Sandy will both be playing Evadale the next time they take the court. Sabine Pass will host Evadale at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Big Sandy will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
