Basketball Recap: Rivercrest Comes Up Short

Rivercrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Chisum Mustangs, falling 76-21. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-8.

Rivercrest's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Chisum, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.

Rivercrest and Miller Grove will round out the year against one another at 8:30 a.m. on Monday. The Rebels will be up against the Hornets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.59 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Chisum, they will finish 2025 at home by hosting Harts Bluff at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
