Recap: Fallsburg Comets vs. Tri-Valley Bears
Even though The Fallsburg Comets have not done well against the Tri-Valley Bears recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Fallsburg secured a 38-32 W over Tri-Valley. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Fallsburg's two-point performance the game before.
Fallsburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Young, who threw for 29 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also picked up 75 receiving yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Storms, who rushed for 19 yards and a touchdown.
Fallsburg's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.0 points per game. As for Tri-Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Fallsburg will head out on the road to face off against Sullivan West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New York (Sullivan West is ranked eighth, while Fallsburg is ranked 14th). Tri-Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
