Basketball Game Preview: King's Ridge Christian Tigers vs. Paideia Pythons

The King's Ridge Christian Tigers will head out to square off against the Paideia Pythons at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

King's Ridge Christian is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Francis just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 79-61 bruising from the Knights.

Meanwhile, Paideia was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 74-68 to Business Engineering Science Tech. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (60), the Pythons still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Paideia and nudges their season record down to 10-10. As for King's Ridge Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

King's Ridge Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Paideia when the teams last played back in December of 2023, winning 60-52. Will King's Ridge Christian repeat their success, or does Paideia have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
