Basketball Recap: Snowflake Skates Past Winslow with Ease

Snowflake won the last time they faced Winslow and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Snowflake Lobos blew past the Winslow Bulldogs 66-38. The Lobos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Snowflake was led to victory by Ryah Denhalter and Kenadi Stuart. Denhalter went 7 of 13 en route to 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Stuart posted 12 points in addition to five assists and five boards. That's the most assists Stuart has posted since back in December of 2023. Nicole Hipps was another key player, putting up ten points.

Snowflake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 20 consecutive games.

Winslow's loss came despite strong showings from Kaitlyn Belone and Keira Barton. Belone put up ten points, while Barton scored three points. Natilyn Nez also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Snowflake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.9 points per game. As for Winslow, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Snowflake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-38 victory against Alchesay on the 17th. Winslow has also already played their next game, a 52-34 defeat against Holbrook on the 17th.
