Basketball Recap: Emma Willard Drops Highest Score of Season Against Hoosick Falls

Emma Willard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Hoosick Falls Panthers on the road by a 53-34 margin. One positive for the Jesters, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

It was another big night for Ava Case, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 16 steals for Hoosick Falls. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Case has scored at least a third of Hoosick Falls' points. Another player making a difference was Tatum Hickey, who posted three points in addition to 12 steals and five assists.

Emma Willard's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hoosick Falls, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing La Salle Institute the next time they take the court. Emma Willard will head out to face La Salle Institute at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while Hoosick Falls will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
