Basketball Recap: Monmouth United Red Storm vs. Galva Wildcats

The Monmouth United Red Storm's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight defeat. They fell just short of Galva by a score of 43-41. The game was a 23-23 toss-up at halftime, but Monmouth United couldn't quite close it out.

Galva found their leader in underclassman MJ Louck, who scored 14 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Louck has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Blake Stahl, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.

Monmouth United has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. As for Galva, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-16.

Monmouth United will be playing in front of their home fans against the Heat at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Galva, they will head out on the road to face off against the Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
