Baseball Recap: Sandwich Find Success

While Sandwich's victory against Serena wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Indians never let the Huskers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Monday. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Huskers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Arlo Budd, who gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Serena off the board. Budd has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

Sandwich's win bumped their record up to 16-14. As for Serena, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

Coming up, Sandwich will venture away from home to square off against Mendota at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Serena, they will take on Amboy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
