Baseball Recap: Carson Senators vs. Desert Oasis Diamondbacks
Carson extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Desert Oasis Diamondbacks, falling 15-0. The Senators were not able to make up for their defeat to the Diamondbacks from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.
Carson saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sebastian Montes, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple.
As for Desert Oasis, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.0 runs this season.
On Desert Oasis' side, Colin Walker looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, Walker posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025.
On the hitting side, Desert Oasis got a massive performance out of Lincoln Guillermo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Guillermo a new career-high. Brody Griffith was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.
Carson didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-2 loss against Legacy on the 6th. As for Desert Oasis, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-2 defeat against Sierra Vista on the 5th.
