Basketball Recap: Rich Hill Comes Up Short

Rich Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Midway Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-34 last Wednesday.

Midway was led to victory by Dakota Dean and Ella Jamison. Dean dropped a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds, while Jamison posted 18 points along with six boards and four steals. The dominant performance gave Dean a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Savannah Whitcraft, who scored four points and three steals.

Rich Hill's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Midway, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-11.

Rich Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-27 defeat against Liberal on the 10th. As for Midway, they have also already played their next game, a 58-31 victory against Miami on the 10th.
