After a string of four wins, Marion's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Fighting Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-10.

Marion's defeat dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Norris City-Omaha-Enfield, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 23-1.

Marion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Carbondale on the 7th. As for Norris City-Omaha-Enfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Thompsonville on the 7th.
