Football Recap: Boyertown Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Boyertown's offense. They were beaten by the Downingtown East Cougars 28-0 on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Cougars are ranked 32nd).

Boyertown's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Downingtown East, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boyertown will face off against Methacton at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th. The game will give the Bears their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Downingtown East, they will challenge Great Valley at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
