Cross County had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They blew past the Jonesboro Hurricane 14-1 on Thursday. The Thunderbirds' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Cross County's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Jonesboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
