Basketball Game Preview: Grandfalls-Royalty Cowboys vs. Irion County Hornets

The Grandfalls-Royalty Cowboys will be taking part in a tournament against the Irion County Hornets on Friday. Grandfalls-Royalty is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Grandfalls-Royalty is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell to Holy Cross 50-44.

Despite the loss, Grandfalls-Royalty saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jason Burns posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Dominguez, who scored nine points.

Meanwhile, Irion County ended up a good deal behind Robert Lee on Friday and lost 52-38.

Irion County's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-5. As for Grandfalls-Royalty, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
