Softball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greensburg Pirates. The Cubs were not able to make up for their loss to the Pirates from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Madison now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Greensburg, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Madison didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-3 defeat against Jeffersonville on the 15th. As for Greensburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Rising Sun on the 15th.
