Softball Recap: Triad Takes a Loss

Triad was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Fairbanks Panthers, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 16-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Triad's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Fairbanks, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

While Triad had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
