Basketball Recap: Geronimo Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Geronimo and Fletcher, and Fletcher kept the tradition alive. The Blue Jays fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 63-60 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-53 back in November of 2025.

Geronimo has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points over those games. As for Fletcher, their victory bumped their record up to 3-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Geronimo will face off against Grandfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fletcher, they will take on Ryan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
