Soccer Game Preview: Herbert Hoover vs. Lincoln County

The Herbert Hoover Huskies will square off against the Lincoln County Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Herbert Hoover's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Herbert Hoover lost 7-1 to Greenbrier East on Saturday.

The Huskies' goal came courtesy of Mason Miller, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three match, Lincoln County brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They never let Mingo Central get on the board and left with a 10-0 win on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for Lincoln County as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Herbert Hoover's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-2. As for Lincoln County, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.

Herbert Hoover took their victory against Lincoln County in their previous meeting back in September of 2022 by a conclusive 5-2 score. Will the Huskies repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
