Basketball Recap: Willapa Valley Vikings vs. Firm Foundation Christian Eagles

The Willapa Valley Vikings scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Firm Foundation Christian 77-38 on the road. With Willapa Valley ahead 41-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Nathan Fluke continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Hank Swartz was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten steals.

Willapa Valley's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-10. As for Firm Foundation Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Willapa Valley will take on the Terriers at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington School for the Deaf is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses. As for Firm Foundation Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Three Rivers Christian has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
