Basketball Game Preview: Goshen Central Gladiators vs. Minisink Valley Warriors

The Goshen Central Gladiators will head out on the road to face off against the Minisink Valley Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Back in December of 2024, Goshen Central was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 51-45 to Warwick. The Gladiators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Minisink Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. The matchup between them and Port Jervis didn't end well, with Minisink Valley falling 71-55.

Minisink Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Goshen Central, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Goshen Central barely slipped by Minisink Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 42-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Goshen Central since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
