Football Recap: Bristol Central Takes a Loss

Bristol Central lost against Enfield back in September of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rams fell 30-26 to the Eagles. While the Rams had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Eagles 14-7.

When it comes to explaining why Bristol Central lost, don't look at Gabriel Ouellette. Despite the final result, he rushed for 159 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 7.6 yards per carry. Ouellette was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.

Sawyer Pequita was his usual excellent self, rushing for 119 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 188 yards and one touchdown for Enfield. That's the most passing yards Pequita has posted since back in October of 2024. Jonathan Hewitt was another key player, rushing for 117 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Bristol Central's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Enfield, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Bristol Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 30-18 win against Simsbury on the 14th. As for Enfield, they have also already played their next game, a 43-21 victory against Conard on the 14th.
