Softball Recap: Ocean City Finds Home Field Redemption Against Williamstown

There's no place like home for Ocean City, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Williamstown Braves by a score of 6-3 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Raiders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jessica Mooney made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Leah Catto was excellent, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Kiley McCorristin also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Ocean City's victory bumped their record up to 14-9. As for Williamstown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-11.

As of now, neither Ocean City nor the Braves have any future games scheduled.
