Basketball Recap: Oakman Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gordo last Tuesday, Oakman came back down to earth. The Oakman Wildcats fell 54-41 to the Carbon Hill Bulldogs on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Oakman's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Carbon Hill, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.

Oakman has already played their next contest (against Hamilton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Carbon Hill will square off against Jasper at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Jasper knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Carbon Hill likes a good challenge.
