South Pike found their leader in freshman Douglas Wansley, who rushed for 256 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.8 yards per carry. Wansley's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 131 rushing yards.

Wansley was just one part of a punishing run game: South Pike was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 338 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

South Pike's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Micah Nickerson with three sacks. Cameron Malone was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss).
