It's playoff time, and Indianapolis Lutheran had no trouble coming through when it counted. They put the hurt on the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies with a sharp  14-1 victory on Friday. The Saints might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Ryan Redding spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on two hits and racked up seven Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Gage Meaney was  incredible,  going 2-for-3 with five  RBI, two  doubles,  and one  run. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nate Hughes, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs and one  double.
 Indianapolis Lutheran  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .514. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kouts only posted  an  OBP of  .367.
Indianapolis Lutheran is  on a roll lately: they've  won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-10 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Kouts,  with the  loss, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 27-7.
As of now, neither Indianapolis Lutheran nor the Mustangs & Fillies have any future games scheduled.
