Basketball Recap: Wellston Takes a Loss

Wellston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 51-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the Whiteoak Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Golden Rockets have suffered since December 28, 2023.

Wellston's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Whiteoak, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Wellston will be playing at home against Ross County Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whiteoak, they will face off against West Union at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
