Baseball Game Preview: High Tech SD Storm vs. High Tech CV Bruins

High Tech SD is 2-8 against High Tech CV since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The High Tech SD Storm will be playing in front of their home fans against the High Tech CV Bruins at 11:00 a.m. High Tech SD has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

High Tech SD's tournament run continued when they took on Crawford on Thursday. High Tech SD came up short against Crawford, falling 16-5. The Storm have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Landon Carroll was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Jesse Rubio was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base.

Meanwhile, High Tech CV was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Castle Park.

High Tech CV saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniel Cardoso, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was Cardoso's first of the season.

High Tech SD's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for High Tech CV, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

High Tech SD's speedy runners might be the difference in Saturday's contest. High Tech SD has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for High Tech CV, though, as they've been averaging only 1 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will High Tech SD continue to outrun the ball?

High Tech SD suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to High Tech CV in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can High Tech SD avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
