Baseball Game Preview: King's Academy Lions vs. Concord Christian Lions

For the second straight game, King's Academy will face off against Concord Christian. King's Academy will host Concord Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times King's Academy and Concord Christian had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. King's Academy put the hurt on Concord Christian with a sharp 11-1 victory on Monday. King's Academy not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 29th.

The team relied heavily on Gensley Ryan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Chelton Jones was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

King's Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Concord Christian only posted a batting average of .176.

Concord Christian has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 16 of their last 17 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-18-4 record this season. As for King's Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
