Baseball Recap: Alcorn Central Comes Up Short

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Alcorn Central was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against the McNairy Central Bobcats, falling 12-2. The Golden Bears were not able to make up for their loss to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Alcorn Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Miller, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

Alcorn Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-9 record this season. As for McNairy Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season.

Alcorn Central will face off against Kossuth at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McNairy Central, they will take on Jackson South Side at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
