Basketball Recap: Brackenridge Comes Up Short

Brackenridge lost against Southwest back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles were dealt a 64-37 loss at the hands of the Dragons. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Brackenridge lost, don't look at Jaymison Porter. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Michael Canizales, who posted 11 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Brackenridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Southwest, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Brackenridge will take on Hondo in a tournament on December 4. As for Southwest, they are taking a road trip to face off against Tivy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons will need to watch out since the Antlers have now posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.
