Oak Ridge (El Dorado Hills, Calif.) had a comfortable lead entering the fourth quarter, but used six fourth quarter points to seal the 30-7 victory over
Napa (Calif.).
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Josh Wellman in the second quarter, the Trojans led 10-7 at the half.
Oak Ridge expanded its lead to 17 points entering the fourth quarter. OR scored two times in the third, including once on an
Ian Book touchdown pass to
Trent Buenzli.
Napa's only touchdown came on a 1-yard run in the second quarter.
The El Dorado Hills school came into the game allowing 16.3 points per game. Napa's seven points were well below their season average of 36.3 per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Napa, which notched a 28-7 victory over Vintage in its previous outing. The loss snapped Napa's two-game winning streak.
