While Bradley-Bourbonnais didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Joliet West Tigers on Saturday, sneaking past 8-7. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 4-0 on Saturday.

Bradley-Bourbonnais' victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Cieslik, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave Cieslik a new career-high. Another was Ellis Johnson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Bradley-Bourbonnais always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .607. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win made it two in a row for Bradley-Bourbonnais and bumps their season record up to 9-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Joliet West, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bradley-Bourbonnais will venture away from home to square off against Homewood-Flossmoor at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Joliet West, they will head out to challenge Minooka at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
