Basketball Recap: Calumet New Tech Gets the Win

While Calumet New Tech has struggled on the road with three straight losses, that wasn't the case on Saturday thanks to Johnny Hudson. The Calumet New Tech Warriors put the hurt on the Whiting Oilers with a sharp 72-48 win thanks in part to Hudson, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (three).

Calumet New Tech's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Whiting, their defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.

Calumet New Tech will welcome Portage at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calumet New Tech is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.5 points per game this season. As for Whiting, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Tri-Township at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
