Softball Game Preview: Crivitz Wolverines vs. Coleman Cougars

Crivitz is 1-9 against Coleman since May of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Wolverines will welcome the Cougars at 4:00 p.m. Crivitz's pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so Coleman's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Crivitz is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 17 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Almond-Bancroft on Tuesday. They fell 4-1 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Coleman also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Algoma by a score of 8-4.

Coleman saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alyssa Kurth, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Trina Wendt also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Crivitz's loss dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Coleman, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.

Everything went Crivitz's way against Coleman when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Crivitz made off with a 12-0 win. Do the Wolverines have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
