Football Recap: Cuba Rams vs. Espanola Valley Sundevils
Cuba lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Friday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a 42-7 loss at the hands of the Espanola Valley Sundevils. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Victor Parra had a dynamite game for Espanola Valley, rushing for 129 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Parra got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 70 yards. Michael Maestas also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Cuba's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Espanola Valley, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.
Cuba will challenge Socorro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Espanola Valley, they will take on Capital at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Capital focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday.
