Soccer Game Preview: Vidor vs. Crosby

The Vidor Pirates will face off against the Crosby Cougars at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Vidor's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Vidor's tournament run continued when they took on Livingston on Saturday. Vidor came up short against Livingston, falling 6-1.

Vidor's goal came courtesy of Troy McElveen, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Crosby, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let Lee onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Tuesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Cougars considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Crosby's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Vidor, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
