Football Game Preview: New Providence vs. Bound Brook

New Providence looks to establish their home field advantage on Saturday as they take on Bound Brook at 1:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against New Providence, but that can only make success all the sweeter.

New Providence had enough points to win and then some against South Hunterdon last Friday, taking their match 20-0. The success made it back-to-back wins for New Providence.

Meanwhile, when you finish with 299.7 more yards than your opponent, a favorable outcome is sure to follow. Bound Brook put a hurting on Manville to the tune of 42-0. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-0.

Their wins bumped Bound Brook to 1-0 and New Providence to 2-0. In their victory, Bound Brook relied heavily on senior Mason-Gage Horsburgh, who rushed for 187 yards and 3 touchdowns; a key strategy for New Providence will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
